Ostaig (or East Bay in Vikingese). The rapidly expanding Gaelic College of Sabhal Mòr Ostaig (big barn of Ostaig), was previously a MacDonald farm. The college runs short courses in Gaelic, music, culture and the environment during the holidays while full time students are taught courses in business and computing, Gaelic television work and drama. The College is now an important part of the University of the Highlands (U.H.I.)
